All about porcelain

Visit the workshop of renowned ceramist Uta Koloczek and learn all about porcelain, the diva of ceramic materials, and the process of casting vessels using plaster moulds. Choosing from different plates, bowls and mug shapes, you will create your own tableware set using white and coloured porcelain. Uta will discuss all stages of the process including mould making, mixing the porcelain, casting, de-moulding and plastering as well as glazing, firing and various decoration techniques. The cost includes the materials to make three basic objects such as cups, bowls or plates. Your crockery will be glazed and fired for you after the course and can be picked up two weeks later.
