Make a pair of medieval shoes with your own hands

3 days Max 3 people450 euros per person

Making historical footwear is a meticulous task demanding a lot of knowledge. But if you want to feel the medieval atmosphere with your feet, experienced historical footwear reconstructor Dalia Grigonienė will teach you how to do it. Over three days, you will learn how footwear was made in the 15th and 16th centuries and will follow the whole process: from creating a cutout specifically for your foot to preparing leather, to making a unique pair that is truly authentic and ancient. Such footwear, when properly cared for, will serve you for several years. Dalia provides all the materials, leather and tools needed, and for those wishing to stay overnight, there is the option to stay in a cosy apartment next to the workshop for an additional fee. The course lasts three days, with approximately eight hours per day.
