Learn about footwear and make a leather bracelet

1.5 hours 3-6 people40 euros per person

Would you like to learn what footwear people wore in the Middle Ages in Lithuania and Europe? Dalia Grigonienė, a historical footwear reconstructor with two decades of experience, will tell you what footwear looked like in the olden times, what was worn by the rich and poor and what kind of leather was used. You will see a collection of reconstructed historical footwear models and learn how they were made. Finally, under Dalia’s guidance, you will learn to make your own accessory – a medieval woven leather bracelet that will always remind you of your visit to Kernavė. Dalia provides materials and tools, and for those who want to spend more time in Kernavė, there is the option of accommodation in a cosy apartment next to the workshop for an additional fee.
