Discover the history of print

1 Hour Max 6 people100 euros per group

Tipoteca Italiana’s museum collection is hosted in the former church and guesthouse of the “Canapificio” and showcases the history of print from Gutenberg to the experimentations of the 20th century. Not just a museum, but also an archive, library, print shop, gallery and auditorium: a unique chance to discover and experience the beauty of letterpress. The guided tour leads visitors through an incredible collection of type and printing machines, with a wall-archive with metal and wood types. Tipoteca inspires scholars and enthusiasts who want to discover type design history by holding it in their hands, or to see their project printed with vintage typefaces.
