    An introduction to hand printing

    The movable type preserves the technical and artistic fullness of an artisanal profession: hand-set books and printing impressed directly on sheets of paper preserve a sensory quality and a visual and tactile pleasure. This workshop introduces participants to the craftsmanship of hand composition and printing with movable types. It is a practical and immediate experience, allowing everyone to become familiar with the world of printing before the computer. Courses are available in different sizes and tailored to the needs of those who participate.
