    An introduction to the art of lace making

    8-10 hours Max 6 peopleFrom 200 euros per person

    A veritable cultural landmark in Burano, the Martina Vidal Atelier runs individual or group courses to teach the fundamentals of Venetian lace making, structured in three different learning levels. The first level allows participants to learn how to make ghipur - a dialect word meaning the basic working of Venetian lace - in 2 or 3 variants, sbari (barettes), reliefs and learn how to finish off the lace. The atelier supplies materials and various supports (tombolo cushion, morello, warping kit, skein and needle) that can be purchased at the end of the course.
