Learn to handcraft your own patterned dishware

2 hours Max 4 people10,000 yen per person

Shota Suzuki will start the workshop with an explanation of the properties of tin, along with showing some of his works and the various objects that can be created by manipulating metal. Tin is a relatively soft metal next to gold and silver. It doesn't oxidize easily and has antibacterial properties that makes it perfect for everyday use. With minimal colour change, tin holds its beautiful lustre for a long time. In this workshop, participants will work with a tin plate of about 11 centimetres in diameter using mallets and stamps. Enjoy making your own vessel with your original patterns. The workshop is open to anyone and requires no prior experience.
