Ceramicist Zemer Peled, born and raised in Israel, earned her MA at the Royal College of Art, London. Zemer’s work examines the beauty and brutality of the natural world. Her sculptural language is informed by the surrounding landscapes and nature, engaging with themes of memory, identity and place. Zemer’s works are formed from thousands of porcelain shards constructed into sculptures and installations. In recent years, her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including Sotheby's, Saatchi Gallery (London) and the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art (Kansas City). Zemer’s work is found in many private and museum collections around the world, such as the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), Fuller Craft Museum (Brockton), Crocker Art Museum (Sacramento) and the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation (Los Angeles).
