The hand-dyed design on this yūzen kimono pictures a scene of large fluttering snowflakes conveyed by black and white geometric patterns. Kunihiko Moriguchi brings traditional yūzen into the present day by using centennial techniques such as itome and maki-nori to form geometric patterns inspired by natural elements, including flowers, snow and flowing water. He continually seeks to incorporate artistic elements into his kimonos.
