Vase "Horizons"
A hand-thrown porcelain vase, matte on the outside and enamelled on the inside, fired at 1280 °C in an electric kiln. The decorative lines on the vase represent the horizon, always looking further towards the future, while the functionality of the vase, in which flowers are presented vertically, serves to remind us of the present moment.

The porcelain bowl is turned on a wheel to achieve the desired shape. The decorative details are then added. First, a brush is used to apply a resist solution to protect the parts that will have no decoration. The exposed parts of the porcelain surface are then removed by carefully wiping with a damp sponge, a necessary step that makes it possible to hollow out the material and reveal the relief decoration. This process mimics the effects of erosion in nature, whereby the earth is eroded by the passage of water. To finish, the piece is fired at 1280 °C in an electric oven.
