Made for an exhibition “Treehandles” which consisted of about 50 pieces – all different styles of trees were represented, using antique and vintage cutlery handles, married with – in this case – finely made silver tops. It has the technical intricacy and talismanic power of jewellery, but cannot be worn. The placement of one salvaged piece with another rescues each from silence into a new conversation.
