The deep blue, provided by the intense light of the velvet, opens the scene to a triumph of golden friezes inspired by the mouldings and the carved frames from the majestic halls of Palazzo Litta, an excellent example of seventeenth-century architecture in Milan. The embroidery is entirely handmade with metallic thread and is embellished with white pearls and crystals in intense and vibrant colours. The richness of this garment is further accentuated by the hand-braided frogs, the pure silk satin lining, the moiré collar and the meticulous hand-stitched finishings.
