    "Sylvestre" vase series

    Ruth Gurvich's paper maquettes are constitutive of her work. This series of paper vases hand-painted with birds is inspired by the hunting decorations found on European tableware. The birds emerge from the empty white background of the paper vase as if suspended in the air.
