Paris-based Italian photographer Susanna Pozzoli develops personal research, using writing, video and sound work. She specialises in craftsmanship, photographing for foundations, magazines and private clients around Europe. Her work is internationally exhibited in solo and group shows in various museums and institutions, including the 2019 VAF Stiftung Award at MART Museum (Italy). In 2021, VAF foundation published her Un’estate con Meret Oppenheim, Manfredi Edizioni. In 2018, Homo Faber presented a two-year project on the Veneto region. The 144 photographs Susanna made were exhibited in the Chiostro dei Cipressi, telling the stories of unique workshops. In 2021, Pozzoli’s Venetian Way became a book, published by Marsilio Editori; for each workshop, a selection of photographs was associated with a text, written by the photographer narrating her discovery and exchanges with the master artisans.
