Lightscape Collection

Lightscape is a glazed porcelain service set, designed by Argentinian designer Ruth Gurvich and handcrafted by the master porcelain makers at Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg. Ruth created this series based entirely on paper models. Her handmade paper vases, cups and plates serve as models for the master porcelain makers at Nymphenburg.

The sculptural elegance of the collection is reflected in the poetry of the décor. Ruth Gurvich's evocative Asian landscapes deal with the themes of light and transience. The green mountain landscapes, the waves and the lines marking the horizon are vaporous, and the mountain peaks seem to melt into the distance. With her precise brushstrokes and blended lines, Ruth succeeds in creating the illusion of depth and space. Landscapes of light are turned into porcelain.
