The sculpture is handmade from porcelain and finished with pigments and glaze. Alberto Bustos starts his sculpture by repeatedly beating small pieces of clay, creating shapes reminiscent of vegetation. He then applies colouring pigments mixed with glaze onto the wet clay and assembles the pieces directly in the kiln before the firing.
