Amalin is the newest series of vases by Lukáš Novák. The name reflects a place where natural materials – rocks and minerals – are melted down with the aid of high temperatures and manual labour and then moulded into unique patterns and structures. The matt glass evokes a view of the Earth’s landscapes – colours shift from alabaster blue to sandy yellow, while the structure is permeated with islands of silver.
