Takeshi Kitamura uses gold thread and the ra weave to create intricate patterns inspired by wisteria flowers. Kitamura has dedicated himself to the revival of ra, a weaving technique frequently used in ancient times. While the artisan has mastered intricate traditional techniques, his works also have a modern sense to them.
