The box is handcrafted from tamo wood, Japanese ash, and decorated with detailed inlays. It is finished with a wiped urushi lacquer coating. Ginkan (Milky Way) conjures up stardust in the night sky, expressed by mother-of-pearl inlaid on grains of aniseed tree.
