Gabrielle Rogers

Gabrielle Rogers grew up in Virginia, USA, on the Chesapeake Bay and currently lives in Blonay, Switzerland. She studied fine arts at Bridgewater College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2007. After her studies, she met her husband, a boatbuilder, and moved aboard his 40’ sailboat. Together, they voyaged to the Bahamas, up and down the east coast of the USA, and recently made an Atlantic crossing from Virginia to the Azores. Inspired by the sailing world, she picked up the craft of building ships in bottles. After moving to Switzerland, Gabrielle set up her workshop, creating ships in bottles and miniature models on commission for clients worldwide. Her goal is to help preserve and share the world’s maritime heritage and culture through this unique craft.
