Alongside its furniture production, the Morelato company invests in cultural and design research through the Fondazione Aldo Morelato, which was set up in memory of Morelato's founder. In 2008 the Foundation established the Museo delle Arti Applicate nel Mobile / Museum of Applied Arts in Furniture (MAAM), which is located within the prestigious Villa Dionisi in Cerea, Verona. All objects on display at the museum have been produced by Morelato and include experimentally produced prototypes of furniture, divided into the following categories: research, reproductions, awards, donations, and productions. Each object expresses the importance of artisan craftsmanship alongside the cultural value of research and experimentation in the design industry.
