Trained woodcarver and gilder Anastasya Martynova works with private clients, interior designers and architects, proving that her area of expertise is as diverse as her interests. Having previously worked in set design and art directing, she combines all aspects of her background to bring a holistic eye to her masterful pieces that mesmerise by their complexity and colours. The use of blue in her work is linked to the sky and the sea, which she describes as the most abstract and mysterious elements of the natural world, calming and limitless. Working in the right environment is essential for being productive and fulfilled she says, and her studio - in the Design District, London - gives her the opportunity to thrive and see her work glistening in the light.
