Eroded Copper Bowl

The bowl has been spun from copper. Using the highly skilled technique of freehand flame piercing, Claire Malet created three-dimensional patterns and textures that mimic the fragility of nature. Employing the decorative technique of gilding, Claire applied a very thin coating of Fairmined and white gold to the bowl's surface. As a final touch, the copper bowl was oxidised and waxed.
