In this set of silverware, Victor Clopotar challenges the perceived limitations of the rigid material – sterling silver – by creating fluid and contemporary shapes. By removing sentimentality from these pieces he pushes Roma products to a modern audience. He uses fire and the blow of a hammer, the same traditions that have defined this archaic craft used by the Roma clan of Căldărari for generations.
