BAM Design was founded in Nuoro, Sardinia, in 2008 by Tonino Bruno, a third-generation blacksmith, and his sons Vittorio and Andrea, who graduated from Politecnico di Milano, and Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera, respectively. By combining their skills and experiences the Bruno family upholds an ancient metalworking tradition to create a dynamic and innovative vision of a new Sardinian handicraft. The BAM workshop designs and manufactures objects and furnishing accessories artistically handcrafted from a range of metals including wrought iron, copper, brass and steel. Bam Design’s work is characterised by clean lines and unique creative processes. BAM stands for Bottega Artigiana Metalli and also references the sound a hammer makes when striking an anvil. BAM Design and its owners have been the recipients of many awards.
