Though deeply rooted in the ancient myths of Sardinia, BAM is an innovative project of contemporary craftsmanship, which escapes standard definitions typically referring to the art, crafts and design fields. The company's powerful and scenic metal creations – coat hooks, containers, light systems, seats, tables and equipment – are both sculptural and functional, the result of an extremely distinctive mix of traditional skills and advanced processing techniques, corrupted and enriched by collaborations with other artisans, designers and artists.
BAM – an acronym for Bottega Artigiana Metalli (Metal Artisan Workshop) but also the onomatopoeic sound of the hammer on the anvil – was founded by Tonino Bruno, a third generation blacksmith, and his sons Vittorio and Andrea, who graduated from the Politecnico di Milano and the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera respectively. The rich mix of their various skills and experiences allows them to pursue their visions.
