Artisans at work: Creating glazes from soil

Glass and ceramics artists Rick Gerner and Johanne Jahncke will be working live in Sala degli Arazzi, demonstrating how they make glazes using soil. The creative duo will be working with a selection of soil which they have collected from around the world (Bornholm, Italy, Japan), demonstrating how soil particles can be transformed to decorate ceramics or melt in glass, resulting in various colours and textures.
