Eyewear framesmith Karl Annus will be working live in Sala degli Arazzi, showcasing how he creates a pair of wooden frames. Karl will begin by cutting the hardwood veneer to the right size and then bend and glue multiple veneer layers together. After that, the design is cut out from the bent piece with a handheld fret saw. The final shape is created by hand using sandpaper and an electric grinder. He will finish the frames with natural oil and wax.
