Located in Lambrate, one of Milan’s design districts, Noah Guitars was established in 1996 from a passion for music and commitment in exploring innovation, based on tradition. The two founders, still at the helm of the workshop, Renato Ruatti and Mauro Roia – an architect and a former foreman in the aeronautical industry respectively – combined their skills in creating and manufacturing innovative electric guitars and basses. The technological innovation that distinguishes their production is the milling out of the hollow body from a metal slab, treating it as if it were wood.
Noah Guitars merges high technology and highly qualified manual skills: the instrument bodies are entirely made of aeronautical aluminum alloy by using CNC machines, while assembling, knobs, bridges, saddles and finishing are done by hand. Attention to sound, timbre, design, the importance of collaborations and constant dialogue with artists, are the ingredients that make this workshop stand out in the music scene. Their instruments are appreciated by the likes of Lou Reed, Ben Harper and Saturnino Celani; Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Yuvi Avital, The Edge and Jovanotti all own Noah Instruments.
