Since 1882, the Klais family has been devoted to the art of organ building. The family lives and works under the same roof. Throughout the world, the Klais family and their employees have made visible and audible marks, and there will be more with every new pipe organ project they embark on. It has always been their intention to create instruments of the highest quality in terms of sound, craftsmanship and aesthetics, not only to reach listeners' ears, but also to touch their hearts.
Building a pipe organ is a creative process that requires continual examination of all traditions. Those who build organs do so in the context of their time, their work will later be judged by generations to come. Philipp C. A. Klais states that "only if an organ speaks a people's language does it become inimitable and reach their soul. This, combined with a certain dash of Rhenish joie de vivre."
