Jallu Ébénistes was founded in 2006 by Yann Jallu, a Compagnon du Devoir furnituremaker and designer artist Sandra Scolnik-Jallu. The pair met in New York and decided to establish their own furniture making atelier in Brittany, France, where they still work to this day. Revisiting the art of cabinetry with a contemporary eye, the duo brings ancestral craft techniques up to date and into the 21st century by designing and creating refined furniture.

Their interest for this style brings them to use parchment, straw marquetry, horn, selenite, mica, shagreen, fine veneers and metals, all materials cherished in the Art Deco approach. Today, at the head of a team of 20 people, Yann Jallu and Sandra Scolnik-Jallu perpetuate the skills of the finest craftsmanship through their unique pieces illustrating their perfect mastery of traditional cabinet making as much as their daring creativity.
