Master decorator Ivan Ceschin was deeply influenced by the magical beauty of Venice during the years he spent training in the city's illustrious workshops. He called his atelier Historya because he wanted it to be the place where the ancient techniques of the Italian tradition continue to live on while looking to the future. Together with his sons Alex and Nicolas, he designs and creates interior and exterior decorations for private homes and public buildings all around the world, using natural pigments and special finishes that range from Venetian stucco to gold leaf.
A qualified restorer of ancient artworks and historic buildings, Ivan also specialises in the restoration, design and creation of bespoke sundials, skillfully blending astronomical precision and artistic flair. His passion for the history of Venice inspired the atelier in the construction of a scale replica of the sumptuous Bucentaur, the ceremonial vessel of the Venetian Republic, which was exhibited at the Doge's Palace in Venice and at the Grand Palais in Paris.
