Emblem of Italian craftsmanship since its founding, Bonacina 1889 is an independent, family-run designer specialising in the production of furniture in rattan and rattan core. Over the years, it has consistently defined a unique and timeless style. Now under the leadership of Elia Bonacina, who represents the fourth generation of the family, the company continues to invest in new projects and collaborations, innovating in products and materials, and safeguarding the authenticity and heritage of the name.

The creation of a Bonacina 1889 product is a complex, slow and unique process. The journey begins with an in-depth knowledge of natural raw materials, sourced in South-East Asia, which combine strength, vitality and elasticity. Since the reed is exploited from the bark to the core, reducing waste to a minimum, the manufacturing process has a very low environmental impact. For over 130 years, each piece has been handcrafted in Italy by skilled artisans who, in a constant physical challenge, shape the materials to create iconic products that are treasured in the most sophisticated households and venues across the continents.
