Atelier Baqué Molinié was born in 2011 from a creative encounter and a shared desire to bring embroidery onto the artistic scene. Strong believers in the power of creative alliances, founders Laetitia Baqué et Victor Molinié, both graduates of the Ecole Supérieur d'Arts Appliqués Duperré, merged their knowledge to extend the possibilities of textile research and break through the boundaries of their craft. Rethinking embroidery in today’s society, the atelier relies on collaborative projects involving other disciplines to constantly experiment with new ways of making, taking the practice out of its ornamental tradition.
The richness of their projects has led them to work with major luxury houses such as Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, or Chanel, and become a reference in the field. The team of skilled embroiderers at Atelier Baqué Molinié develops projects in accordance with seasons, partnerships, and events. Indeed, one of the fundamental values of the atelier is to keep on celebrating embroidery: "a craft that takes time, that requires a precise gesture. It is a work of exception.”
