The Art Kern metal works were originally founded in Geneva at the beginning of the 19th century. Serge Ruedin, a graduate of the engineering school, and his wife Pascale Ruedin, a business school graduate, took over the company in 1995. Thanks to their management and a synergy of talents and knowledge, the company expanded and refined its skills towards high-end and technical achievements, designed and integrated in harmony with the environment. In 2006, the company equipped its new premises with a veritable forge, and renamed itself Art Kern. In 2012, Guillaume Ruedin, a graduate in polymechanics and the School of Arts and Crafts in Metal Construction, joined his parents in the company.
“The precision, manual skills and passion of our craftsmen,” says Serge, “helps us master metal when designing unique pieces. Our creativity is stimulated by the diversity of our materials. At the same time, we guarantee that we respect traditional artisanal techniques.” The national and international recognition of the company guarantees its varied and modern style as well as new approaches, especially in the execution of large and complex projects.
