Wanås Konst is situated in Wanås in the region of Skåne in the south of Sweden. An art gallery, a sculpture park and a medieval castle, Wanås Konst brings together history, culture and contemporary art in a rural setting. The grand 16th-century Wanås castle welcomes visitors to the site. Behind its voluminous structure, there’s a captivating sculpture park large enough to get lost in and an ambitious art gallery housed in a former barn. The sculpture park, open to the public all year around, has a permanent collection of more than 70 site-specific works of art.
Lose yourself on the winding paths that run through the verdant landscape and experience the artwork of internationally renowned artists, including Yoko Uno, Nathalie Djurberg, Ann Hamilton, Jenny Holzer and Robert Wilson. In addition to the permanent collection, temporary exhibitions are regularly on display outdoors and indoors. Don’t miss out on the guided tours, artist talks and workshops that accompany many of the exhibitions.
