Since 2010, Veerle Wenes has transformed her gallery in the historical city centre of Antwerp into an established name on the international circuit. The gallery is located in a renovated cloister, and includes also part of her living space. Since it’s beginning Valerie Traan gallery has been characterised by a distinct selection of makers in the fields of art, design and architecture and by a profound sensitivity, regardless of trends, to concept, aesthetics and functionality. The gallery has pushed the boundaries between different fields, and represents mostly Belgian artists who work cross-genre and find beauty in the ordinary such as Muller Van Severen, Rikkert Paauw and Unfold.
