Artisanal Portuguese furniture

Porventura was opened by a father and son, Filipe and Jorge Ventura in 2019. The gallery offers a selection of Portuguese furniture that challenges people's notions of routines in the home. Their first collaboration was with the master cabinetmaker Vitor Castro from the Ricardo Espírito Santos Silva Foundation. They currently work with various cabinetmakers, artisans and small and medium sized manufacturers, partnering with established and recently graduated designers to develop new pieces. They recently launched Porventura by Hand, an initiative with Passa Ao Futuro to bring pieces designed and made by Portuguese artisans into the design market.
