Located in the charming streets of seaside town St Ives, the potter Janet Leach founded the New Craftsman Gallery in the 1960s. The gallery supported the early careers of 20th century Cornish artists such as Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Patrick Heron, Sandra Blow, Peter Lanyon and Bryan Winter. Today, over 50 years later, Director Ylenia Haase and her team represent over 100 artists and curate eight exhibitions a year, showcasing works made from ceramics, glass, wood and metal, fine art jewellery, sculptures, and paintings. They focus on contemporary craft and new, innovative artworks from established artists and promising rising talents.
