The multi-disciplinary collections of the National Museum of Scotland, built up over two centuries, include the recently inaugurated galleries for Art, Fashion and Design, where visitors can explore centuries of creativity and innovation. The Making and Creating gallery explores the techniques and inspirations behind the work of artists, makers and designers. The Design for Living gallery helps visitors to discover ideas that shaped a century of design. The Art of Living gallery displays extraordinary examples of decorative art as expressions of beauty, taste, power and devotion.
