The Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar is a unique cultural institution in Croatia which opened in 2009. The museum is located in the historic palace of the Cosmacendi family, dating back to the second half of the 19th century, whose original architecture was enriched by an annex for the project. It's an archaeological museum, specialised in ancient glass. Its display presents a unique collection of over 5,000 various glass objects dating back to antiquity. Over 1,500 complete glass objects are presented in the permanent display that is divided into eight themes.

Apart from the permanent display, various glass workshops are organised throughout the year. A modern and well-supplied shop offers a number of publications and souvenirs made in the workshops. The museum has two multifunctional halls for exhibitions, lectures, book presentations and projections of documentary films about glassmaking.
