Momoko Mizutani opened Momosan Shop in 2014 to showcase and sell homewares and objects made by talented independent craftspeople. The aim was to make it similar to the pottery shops of her native Japan. Momoko is attracted by objects that speak to her and make her smile. Her shop, located in London’s Hackney neighbourhood, reveals her double cultural legacy: after growing up in Japan, she chose to live in Britain. Here you can find a loving selection of objects from the two countries, such as distinguished Asian pottery, sophisticated jewellery, British textile items, ceramic teapots from Japan’s Aichi Prefecture. Not to forget organic teas, paper objects, and toys for children.
