Since 2014 Amaryllis Jacobs and Kwinten Lavigne commission architects and artists to develop furniture and objects, offering them an opportunity to go beyond their usual practice. Doing so, MANIERA gallery invites them to search for collisions between the realms of architecture, design and art. The choice to represent somebody is based on the fascination for his or her "maniera", or the unique way of doing things. The Brussels-based gallery works with up-and-coming but also renowned architects such as the Dutch Studio Anne Holtrop and the Indian Studio Mumbai, but also with the Swiss textile designer Christoph Hefti.
