Mažoji Galerija (Small Gallery) is one of the oldest private galleries in Vilnius. Founded in 1996, it resides in a cosy neighbourhood called Žvėrynas, a place with a distinctly rural ambiance. There you can see ornate wooden villas typical of the area, surrounded by the picturesque Vingis Park and River Neris. In a quiet street, in a cosy house, hides a panorama of Lithuanian art. The gallery’s founder and owner Volanda Raupelytė-Chailova exhibits works of various generations of Lithuanian artists in the small exhibition space. Here you can always find unique Lithuanian textile art works, original ceramics and a rich collection of jewellery pieces. The makers of the paintings, sculptures, graphics, glass, ceramics, and jewellery are both famous artists and young emerging Lithuanian artists.
