Opened in May 2021 in the heart of Rome, just outside the Vatican, LAVS Roma is the shop of Atelier Lavs, the sacred vestments atelier launched by Filippo Sorcinelli and appreciated by Popes and bishops – no wonder that at the inauguration the store was blessed by Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco. There, magnificent chasuble, miters, copes and other liturgical items are on sale, all manufactured in Santarcangelo di Romagna, the headquarters of the atelier, with high-quality materials, such as Italian silks from Como and wools. Some pictures by photographer Mario Giacomelli, a major source of inspiration for Sorcinelli, are on display at the store, too.
