Holmegaard Værk is a new Nordic museum of craft and design situated in an old glassworks premises on the brink of Holmegaard Bog. The museum, which opened in 2020, exhibits one of Scandinavia’s largest glass collections with more than 42,000 glasses together with the world’s largest collection of Kähler ceramics. A skilled hot shop team, including Bjørn Friborg Pedersen and Jonas Noël Niedermann, produces glass in the workshop at the museum which is then sold in the well-stocked shop.

The museum is 15,000 metres squared, including several grand exhibition halls. Here you can discover the work of Per Steen Hebsgaard from his many years as a glazier and pieces from famous artists such as Per Kirkeby and Bjørn Nørgaard. You can experience varying special art craft exhibitions and below the ground the museum exhibits amazing archaeological finds from the Holmegaard Bog. You can also learn about the workplace with its many different glassmaking processes, almost feeling the heat around the large tank furnace.
