Glasmuseet Ebeltoft is a museum for contemporary glass located on the east coast of Jutland. The museum stages a number of high-profile solo and group exhibitions of work by international artists and young talents throughout the year. Glasmuseet also presents various various theme exhibitions using pieces from the permanent collection, which consists of more than 1600 pieces, created by prominent artists from all over the world. Guided tours can be arranged.
In the museum's glass studio visitors can follow the magic of glassblowing and can even make their own little works in glass during the school holidays. In the shop you will find a large assortment of handmade glass pieces created by Danish and international artists and craftspeople, as well as a variety of books, posters and other items. In the cafe you can enjoy a lunch in a cosy atmosphere with views overlooking the sea. Glasmuseet Ebeltoft was initiated by Danish studioglass pioneer, Finn Lynggaard. It was inaugurated in 1986 and Her Majesty the Queen is patron for the museum.
