Since 2011, Cinecittà has been welcoming the public to “Cinecittà Si Mostra", a cultural initiative aiming to showcase the historical and architectural heritage of the legendary studios and introduce visitors to its sets and routes. The permanent exhibition where you can admire the craftsmanship applied to cinema is divided into four parts. In the first one, Shooting in Cinecittà visitors can see original costumes worn by film stars such as Liz Taylor, Alida Valli, Nino Manfredi, Richard Burton and the legendary costumes of Franco Zeffirelli's The Taming of the Shrew and Luchino Visconti’s Senso.
The route Felliniana, dedicated to Federico Fellini, is created by the artist-artisan Dante Ferretti, an Academy Award winning production designer, and Francesca Lo Schiavo, an Academy Award winning decorator and set designer. The four tours can be arranged independently in 60 to 90 minutes, while the tours to the permanent sets can not be taken independently and require a guide.
