The Anton Pann memorial house opened to the public in 2018, presents the life and work of the prominent cultural personality of the 19th century. The museum’s concept follows the principles of interactivity and connectivity, through various illustrations, installations and animations that keep his memory alive. While the house is divided into several rooms, the Music Hall comprises 23 handmade musical instruments that are representative of the 19th century.
The exhibition also includes an archive of sounds, scores, vocal and instrumental, secular and religious pieces composed by Anton Pann. Other objects that draw visitors’ attention are an old Guttenberg typewriter with movable letters and a metal frame, a zoetrope and a praxinoscope, the ancestors of modern cinema, which unfold into comics, one of the writer's works and create the optical illusion of movement.
