The MUDI (Museo Didattico della Ceramica e della Porcellana), part of the monumental complex of the Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte, is a learning centre where visitors can attend one of the several workshops, seminars and events organised by the Real Fabbrica, and admire a unique collection of exceptional artefacts telling the long and fascinating story of one of the first porcelain manufacturers in Europe, founded by Carlo di Borbone in 1743.

The Museum hosts historical porcelain pieces, both unique and popular shapes, but also contemporary creations realised in collaboration with international artists and designers. Collections include ancient tools and machinery, including the large ovens dating back to the eighteen century, and the widest archive in the world related to Capodimonte porcelain. The approach of the museum is eminently educational, with collections evolving over time and temporary exhibitions taking place to offer visitors the opportunity to dive into the world of ceramics and porcelain artistic production.
